Terms of Service
Last updated September 27, 2026
The short version
- Your sermons and clips belong to you. You give us permission to process them only so we can provide the Service.
- Only upload recordings you have the right to use, including any music and the people shown in them.
- AI suggestions and transcripts can be wrong. Review your clips before you post them.
- You can cancel or delete your account at any time.
These terms are an agreement between you and Clay McGranahan (“we”, “us”) for the hosted Sunday Studio service (the “Service”). If you use the Service for a church or other organization, you confirm you are allowed to accept these terms for it, and “you” includes that organization. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information and is part of these terms. The open-source desktop app is licensed separately under the MIT License.
1. Your account
You need to be at least 18, or the age of majority where you live, to create an account. Keep your sign-in secure; you’re responsible for activity in your account. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has accessed it.
2. Your content
You keep all rights to the videos, audio, transcripts and clips you upload or create with the Service (“your content”). We don’t claim ownership of any of it.
You give us a limited permission to store, copy, process and transmit your content, and to create transcripts, suggestions and clips from it, only as needed to provide the Service to you, including through the providers listed in our Privacy Policy. This permission ends when your content is deleted, apart from copies in backups that expire on their normal schedule. We will never use your content to train AI models, and we won’t sell it or use it to advertise.
3. What you’re responsible for
By uploading content, you confirm that you have the rights and permissions needed to upload it and to share the clips you make, including:
- rights to the recording and any music, video or other material in it (worship songs usually need their own licenses for social media);
- permission from the people who appear in it, following your church’s usual policies, especially for children.
4. Acceptable use
Don’t use the Service to:
- upload content you don’t have the rights to, or that is illegal, harassing, or exploits anyone;
- break, overload, probe or get around the security or limits of the Service;
- access other people’s accounts or content;
- resell the Service or build a competing product by copying it.
We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules, and we’ll tell you why unless the law or safety prevents it.
5. AI features
Transcripts, clip suggestions and speaker framing are produced automatically and can contain mistakes, including misheard words, names and Scripture references. Suggestions only choose ranges of what was actually said; they never rewrite it. You decide what to publish, so please review clips before posting them.
6. Plans, payment and cancellation
Some features require a paid plan. Plan limits, such as sermon hours per month and how long original videos are kept, are shown when you choose a plan. Subscriptions renew automatically each month or year until you cancel. You can cancel at any time and keep access until the end of the period you’ve paid for. Except where the law requires, payments are non-refundable. If we change prices, we’ll tell you at least 30 days before the change affects your next renewal.
7. Deleting your content and account
You can delete projects, or your whole account, at any time. Deletion is permanent, so download clips you want to keep first. When your plan’s retention period ends, we delete the original video; your transcript and finished clips stay. If you stop paying for a plan, we may delete stored originals after giving you notice.
8. Changes to the Service
We’re always improving the Service and may add, change or remove features. If we make a change that significantly reduces what you’re paying for, we’ll tell you in advance, and you can cancel.
9. Disclaimers
We work hard to keep the Service reliable, but it is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties such as merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, and we don’t promise the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free. Keep your own copies of original recordings; the Service is not a backup.
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we won’t be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim about the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $100. Some places don’t allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.
11. Indemnity
If someone brings a claim against us because of content you uploaded or your breach of these terms, you agree to cover our reasonable costs of that claim, to the extent the law allows.
12. Ending these terms
You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that seriously or repeatedly break these terms, or if we stop offering the Service; if we stop offering it, we’ll give you at least 30 days’ notice to download your clips.
13. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in a meaningful way, we’ll update the date above and let you know before the change takes effect. If you keep using the Service after that, the new terms apply.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nebraska, United States, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Disputes will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Nebraska, unless the law where you live requires otherwise.
